Welcome to Mothers and Maidens of Virtue!
Being a keeper at home is the most special task and privilege a woman can have. The older women are instructed to teach the younger women to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:5. This website was designed to give guidelines, encouragement and ideas; with some general hints and tips for the keeper at home.

A Maiden's Warfare
by: Carol A. DeLaduranteyPress on to heights of glory now,
And keep thou steady eye.
One must not falter in this fight,
Though some may flee or fly.
Take hold the charge thou hast been given,
To battle we must go.
To battle we must go.
But not with our own maiden hands
Do we take up shield or bow.
We wage this war in words and actions,
With our every deed. We follow Christ our captain,
Thro' him we will suceed.
Tell me now have we forgot
The charge from God above
To keep our hearts in purity, grace,
Modesty, truth and love.
Those are our weapons, our shields, our swords;
In this battle we now fight. We strive not for an earthly king,
But for our God of truth and might!

Encourage the Men In Your Lives...
Just remember that the more ladylike, feminine, submissive, and sweet we ladies are, that the more manly and chivalrous the men in our lives will become, and it will encourage them to rise up to leadership and protection. Isn't it amazing how the Lord created us... many times things that would seem opposites and non-connecting the Lord actually made to be intricately and inseparably connected! When ladies rise up and take power and leadership, instead of inspiring the men, it makes them cower back in effeminacy and concession. Ladies, be feminine, and that will encourage the men in your lives to be masculine. I've seen it work with my own brothers!!Laura C.
~I Want a Principle Within~

I want a principle within of watchful, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin, a pain to feel it near.
I want the first approach to feel of pride or wrong desire,
To catch the wandering of my will, and quench the kindling fire.
A sensibility of sin, a pain to feel it near.
I want the first approach to feel of pride or wrong desire,
To catch the wandering of my will, and quench the kindling fire.
From Thee that I no more may stray, no more Thy goodness grieve,
Grant me the filial awe, I pray, the tender conscience give.Quick as the apple of an eye, O God, my conscience make;
Awake my soul when sin is nigh, and keep it still awake.
Grant me the filial awe, I pray, the tender conscience give.Quick as the apple of an eye, O God, my conscience make;
Awake my soul when sin is nigh, and keep it still awake.
Almighty God of truth and love, to me Thy power impart;
The mountain from my soul remove, the hardness from my heart.
O may the least omission pain my reawakened soul,
And drive me to that blood again, which makes the wounded whole.
The mountain from my soul remove, the hardness from my heart.
O may the least omission pain my reawakened soul,
And drive me to that blood again, which makes the wounded whole.
